Does the back spoon stay warmer than the front spoon?

Still moving forward with the operation which will have the end result being a new frame for next year, I've been up to no good (not to be confused with "know good").

Yes, that would be me doing something that doesn't appear normal in a world where normal is applauded and mediocrity rewarded at the grade school level.

That is my crabon Niner frok.

That is my Tallboy frame.

I am inserting my frok into the frame in an upside down and unrideable manner.

It was in the name of science, but also a study of aesthetics and performance that you will not see with any major bike manufacturer, unless that manufacturer happens to employ somebody who has no idea what he's doing and a lack of resources.

The experiment failed which was a success and more decisions were made and additional progress was rejoiced in the name of all that is headway.

This will all make sense in due time. I will present to you a heavily edited version of the final drawing some time next week. You will see numbers and a few broken lines and that is all.

The most recent addition to our extended family gave me a good reason to not race cross this Saturday. Sally is our newest foster dog. She has terminal cancer, but a lot of quality life left, so we're gonna keep her around and smiling for as long as possible.

Sally has only been with us for around a week, and the other night she gave us quite a scare. The Pie was leaving to take Gina (future guide dog for the blind) on her nightly walk, and when she opened the door Sally bolted. She has (I should say had at this point) no ID tag, and the Humane Society didn't bother to chip her, so nobody would know who she belonged to nor would they know about all the meds she needs twice a day. The Pie asked me to help catch her, and when I finally saw her I made pursuit. It was then that I realized my body part I am no longer allowed to mention hurt with every step as I ran. Even though Sally was drugged up and had a bunch of staples in her leg where they had removed a cancerous tumor I could not catch her. Luckily she eventually ran back to our door, and all was happy in foster land in a manner of minutes.

So there you have it. I can ride a bike relatively pain free, but I can't run more that two steps without pain. Cross racing would not just be a "bad idea" it would be a terrible idea. My recovery has been quite slow, and the swelling still apparent, so setting myself back is not on the agenda. Now to find out how Charlotte Parks and Rec feels about beer in a public park... on a Sunday morning.

Finally, if you did not sign up for Peter's Psycle News newsletter you might miss out on important timely Misfit news, propaganda, and not so veiled marketing.

He's running a special that is quite limited (like his riding abilities). Till midnight tonight you can buy the Misfit diSSent ALC (AL stands for aluminum, C stands for made in Canada) for $200 off making it only $100 more than the Taiwan made frame. The deal lasts till midnight tonight or until Peter sells 24 frames... whichever comes first. Enter coupon code TWOFOUR24 when checking out at the Psyclestore to get yours.

Now all I have to do is help Peter with this marketing thing one more time and he promised to mix up the spooning arrangement at our next stage race.

So you found out that fork isn't gonna work with a headtube that length, eh?

Cool.

"The experiment failed which was a success and more decisions were made and additional progress was rejoiced in the name of all that is headway."

We have a running bet to see if even you with all of your twisted, somewhat disturbing logic can make sense of this. I may have to get out my "Monty Python Interpretation Manual" to be sure.

Anon,

I've got a measuring tape for that purpose, and no, I wasn't trying to build a cockpit that would stupefy the BikeSnob.

Dikster,
I've been reading your blog for some time now (well, don't get a big head, I read it once in a while) and even though I don't agree with some of the "words" you sometime use, I do admire the fact you and the "Pie" take your time to make animals feel loved until they pass. I don't have to read your blog, but I chose to because most of the time you give me a smile early in the morning and if I don't agree with what you write, I just click off. Not complaining, just expressing my point of view.
thanks for the laughs.

Going on a thought here, but my Waltworks SS is the best bike I have ever ridden and I am sure you will love yours too.
