I'm just gonna leave this all sitting right here until I can get used to looking at them.
The Vertigo now looks strange with "narrow" tires... 2.4 & 2.2". Malnourished. Sad.
The Stickel looks like a beast. I've been wanting to try this for some time.
The Maxxis Tomahawk. Super knobbly. High volume.
Why not the Ikon 2.8 in the back? It just won't fit. Plain and simple. The bike wasn't designed for it, so whatever. Hell, this bike was built before 27.5+ was a twinkle in someone's eye. I didn't even think I'd ever want a drooper post while Steve was in the planning process.
"Never. I want a 27.2 titanium post for comfort. I'll never run a dropper."
Something like that. Never say never, I guess... even tho you say it twice when you drop that quote, which is double ironic.
I now have three weekends before PMBAR. The clock is ticking. I want to play on both of these in their natural environment before then. The Pisgah 111/55.5k (which I'm doing either one or the other or both or none depending on litany of excuses/reasons) and the Trans-Sylvania Epic are coming up way fast, and I wanted to have all this sorted out and tested before then.
Wish in one hand, shit in the other, forget which is which, decide that shitting in your hand was never a good idea to begin with and declare that from now on you will only wish in both hands.
