I did the Polar Bear cyclocross race on my Berserker last year, and I wanted to head up there to do it again this year, BUT since I didn't renew my USACycling license it would be $25 ($15 reg + $5 number plate + $5 one day license) for 45 minutes of racing.
Meh, kinda makes me wanna dig into the USACycling fund sock, but not really.
Also the Charlotte Winter Short Track Series is back in full swing in a couple weeks. It's been two years since I've done the whole series, and last year I went ahead and did one race on my Thylacine set up fixed (for her pleasure).
As much as I enjoy playing around and rubbing elbows in the name of sport (and close to home) I'm less tempted to pull out the race budget sock this early in the year. I'll still try to ride over and be an athletic supporter since my new family will be representing in full force in an attempt to win the new Team Category.
Thanks for clicking over to my application for the Breck Epic Bloggers Grant the other day. I think the most recent comment on my application sums up my qualifications quite succinctly.
"The boy's uglier than a mud fence and grammatically challenged, but you will not find a more entertaining blogger to document the race. Give Dickey the free ride!"

I'm not sure why, but my old blog is getting hundreds of hits everyday even though I NO LONGER UPDATE IT. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that a bunch of slackers haven't changed the links on their blogs to reflect my new and hardly improved location. I don't wanna name names, but c'mon Tomi, dRjon, Dan, Misty, Jeff, Danielle, Eric, Brian, Joe, Jill, Pip, Elk, Dejay, Eddie, Jason, Luis, Alex, Tomato, and Brett... get with the program.
Et tu Thad, et tu??? I thought we had something... it's so funny how we don't talk anymore (well, except for yesterday when you called me on the way to your therapist).
Let's see...
This weekend I need to get some extensive wheelie testing time on my new bars. I like to think that every weekend I'm one step closer to getting back on a rigid fork and a ti frame. It's been difficult looking into the corner of my bike room known as the Island of Misfit (not Misfit) Rigid Forks.
There's a project going on in there, hush-hush style. Should be pretty sweet come the Ides of March.

I've got you updated. Not like it does you any good with the few eyes that actually want to read about my pity stuff.
MMMMmm. Rigid fork. Get me some!
Sorry, I got all caught up in ME! ;)
BTW congrats on the Moots deal. They fill me with a desire and lust that is usually on found via a stolen password and internet porn.
I updated the link! You're not blocked at work anymore, SWEET! I wonder how long that wil take...hahaha...
Meh, old dicky was way more entertaining than new dicky.
old linky is the new dicky. The old link stays.
You can take me off of the list...I switched you over.
Danielle-
I would just have to move you to a more obscure list.
linky fixed....all those Anon comments on Breck, fluff much?
phew, thank god I updated your link so that I didn't make your list of shame. oh, wait, I'm not in your blog list anyway so no harm, no foul! :)
I added a link for your new site last week and left your old link up for posterity. New site is listed as Team Dicky, the old site is Bade Idea Racing.
Dicky, have you thouht about running Jones bars. They make a J-Bar that has no rise just like the ti one for 1/8 the price. This way you could run a real fork.
shelbymunn--
Too much sweep for me.
The Salsa's feel good, and if I'm really nice MOOTS might make me some 14 degree sweeps.
I haven't changed my blogroll in about three years. Time to get cracking. Thanks for the reminder!
Your new blog rocks.
